The Trend RBT/2 Routabout Jig is a specialist woodworking jig designed to allow quick, clean access to pipes and cables beneath chipboard floors — ideal for builders, plumbers, and electricians working on both new builds and existing properties. Using a standard plunge router (750W or above), the jig cuts a precise 250mm diameter opening through 18mm chipboard or similar flooring. The cutter is engineered to cut only the thickness of the board, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage to pipework or cables below. One of the key advantages of this system is its no-waste design. The cut-out disc is retained and used to reinstate the floor afterwards, making good the opening quickly and cleanly without the need for additional materials or filler boards. The kit includes everything needed to get started straight away. Three spacer rings are supplied to accommodate different floor configurations. Note that a Unibase adapter may be required for certain router makes and models.
