Makita Genuine 516016-0 Armature Assembly fits Makita 110v 8406 Diamond Core Drill

The Makita 516016-0 Armature Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part for the Makita 8406 110V diamond core drill, restoring full motor performance when the original armature has become worn or damaged. As the rotating core of the motor, the armature is subject to significant mechanical and thermal stress during core drilling operations. This replacement unit uses a laminated steel core with copper windings and a precisely machined commutator, all built to Makita's original manufacturing standards. Common signs of armature failure include loss of power, overheating, and excessive sparking from the brush gear — fitting this part addresses all of these symptoms directly. Engineered specifically for core drilling into concrete, brick, and masonry, the assembly maintains correct dynamic balance and alignment within the motor housing. This reduces vibration, helps protect the bearings, and contributes to a longer service life for surrounding components. It is a straightforward like-for-like replacement using the drill's existing hardware, making it a practical repair option for contractors and service technicians working with the 8406. Important: This armature is designed exclusively for the 110V variant of the Makita 8406. It is not suitable for 240V versions of the drill. Features and Benefits: • Genuine Makita OEM part (MPN 516016-0) ensures precise fit and compatibility • Copper windings and laminated steel core for motor efficiency and durability • Accurately machined commutator reduces sparking and extends brush life • Dynamic balance minimises vibration and protects motor bearings • Restores torque, speed stability, and drilling performance • Like-for-like replacement using existing drill hardware • Designed for the 110V Makita 8406 — not compatible with 240V versions
