Makita Genuine 266130-9P Tapping Screw Bind 3 X 16 L1

The Makita Genuine Tapping Screw Bind 3 x 16 (MPN 266130-9) is a small-format steel fastener designed for the secure assembly and repair of Makita power tools and light machinery. The binding (truss) style head provides a wider bearing surface than a standard head, helping to distribute clamping load across plastic casings and thin sheet metal components. This reduces the risk of pull-through during tightening and ongoing tool use, making it well suited to the compact housings found in cordless drills, drivers, and garden machinery. The self-tapping thread forms a reliable hold in prepared pilot holes without the need for a pre-cut thread. This simplifies servicing and reassembly, whether you are replacing a worn fastener or working through a routine repair. Compatible with a wide range of Makita tools — including models such as the 6019D and DHP458 — this screw is used to secure cases, handles, gearboxes, and accessory mounts. Steel construction with a hard-wearing black finish supports repeated removal and refitting across the service life of the tool.
