The Bosch Hex Shank HSS Step Drill Bit is a cone and stepped drill bit designed for smooth, burr-free drilling in several diameters with a single bit. It is ideal for drilling round holes, enlarging existing holes and deburring. The split-point tip allows an easy start, so pre-punching is not necessary. The CNC ground spiral flute gives optimised chip removal and less vibration for even drilling, while axial and radial relief grinding delivers high cutting performance and smoothness. This step drill bit is suitable for thin materials, including non-ferrous metals, sheet plastic, sheet steel, plastic and stainless steel. It is made from HSS (high-speed steel) and offers a long lifetime when used with coolant. Laser-marked figures in both spiral flutes show the hole diameter clearly and durably. The hex shank fits three-jaw chucks and ¼" internal hex tool holders.
