Sobre o produto
The Portwest Retractable Fall Arrest Block is a personal fall protection device designed to safeguard workers operating at height across construction, maintenance, and industrial environments. At its core, the unit houses a 4.8mm wire rope lifeline wound onto a spring-loaded reel within a durable protective casing. The inertia brake mechanism is key to its practical performance — it allows the lifeline to pay out smoothly during normal movement, then locks instantly in the event of a fall, limiting fall distance and reducing arrest forces on the user. The block is fitted with a swivel snap hook featuring a double safety lock, providing secure and reliable connection to a compatible anchor point or dorsal attachment on a full body harness. A built-in fall indicator gives a clear visual signal if the device has been subjected to a fall arrest event, prompting inspection or replacement as required. CE certified and rated to a maximum load of 140kg, this retractable fall arrest block is suitable for a wide range of working-at-height applications. The 10-year shelf life from the manufacturing date ensures long-term serviceability when stored correctly.
